Well it's been too long since I've posted anything (it's not like anyone ever reads this junk anyway). I have found myself in a life that is not what I had ever planned on having. At least not now or like this. Happy yes, but not sure of what to expect next is driving me crazy. Although I'm confident things will turn out for the good, I just have to work for them. Although, not everything that I want is completely in my hands for the taking or making. But I'll have to continue to work for it all. I should be working harder. Speaking of work, it's about time I found something to do with my life. I have a few choice options, nothing definite yet. No knowing exactly what I should do is another thing driving me crazy. I'd like to hear some thoughts on what would be a good career choice. After graduating this year, college is my next challenge, lets hope it's a good one. Let's hope I'm ready for it!!! Another thing driving me crazy. I'm going insane here, can't you tell!?!

Hi Jacob. I think it's natural to be a little anxious or unsure at the point in life at which you find yourself. But have no worries, young brother, my God and yours is present with you in every moment of your life, past, present and future. He is the God who exists in Eternity, unconstrained by the limits of temporality. He is currently alive in the past:
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. (John 8:58)
He is with you now and in the future.
Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. (Matthew 28:19-20)
He has declared your future, friend!
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me; declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure; (Isaiah 46:9-10)
He will guide you and direct every step.
A man's heart deviseth his way; But Jehovah directeth his steps. (Proverbs 16:9)
Peace be with you, Jacob
@AOK4WAY - Thank you for the advice! Thank you also for visiting my page, it's greatly appreciated! It's nice to know someone else on here shares the same love for the Word of God as I do. Tell me, what church do you go to sir?
@Nailed92 - I'm not affiliated with any church, Jacob. The concept of the church, especially in western culture, is profoundly corrupted, and has little or nothing to do with ekklesia, the Greek word from which the english word church is derived. The ekklesia are the called out ones. We reject the wide path, and forsake the crowd. We join ourselves in faith to the Messiah who set us free, not to organizations which claim to represent Him.
Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby. For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)
We hold fast to His Word, rejecting all doctrines of men in favor of scriptural truth as breathed by God Himself. We hunger for fellowship, yet we steer clear of organizations which elevate scripturally refutable doctrine to a position of superiority over the written Word. If you'll examine Revelation chapters 2-3, you'll find that the majority of churches addressed by the glorious risen Son of God are under direct warning from Him, one being spiritually dead already:
And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (Revelation 3:1-6)
But there is also one church among them with which fellowship is to be desired above all others. It is the church which has held fast to His word alone. It is small, with only a little power, yet the promise made to that church is astounding:
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (Revelation 3:7-13)
Please do not misconstrue anything I've said to imply that members of ekklesia are not present in any of these organizations. More and more, I've been finding that this is not the case. But having attempted fellowship with several churches of various "denominations", I've always come to a point at which I found scripture to have been set aside in favor of some doctrine which attempts to widen the path or constrict it further, and when I've asked church members and leaders about these things, I've always been told that I must be willing to put my faith in the leadership of that church rather than in the Word breathed by God Himself. In my case, I had to leave these churches, at least at the time when these things occurred. Now, my fellowship is given me right here, with more and more brothers and sisters being added regularly. We are they who not only believe in God, but believe Him, every word He has spoken to us in scripture. We don't expect that we (or anyone) will ever attain a perfect understanding of His will or His Word while still in this body of corruption, yet we continue to ask, seek and knock, knowing that we will be abundantly rewarded, even beyond our current to fathom the implications of the understanding we will be given on that glorious day!
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. (1 Corinthians 13:12)
Thank you for your welcoming response and your question! I hope I've answered it in a way that is understandable to you, friend.
